Anoosheh Enssani

Anoosheh Enssani is an independent producer/director located in San Francisco, California. Born in Iran, She holds a Masters degree in Broadcasting and Electronic Communications Arts from San Francisco State University. She has also successfully produced and directed several short films and Documentary TV series in different languages including Bosnian and Turkish for International service of IRIB broadcasting company.

Among her recent works is the film “The Legend of Wine” which she wrote, directed & produced in San Francisco/Napa California. The film successfully has been circulating different film Festivals so far. She also won “Honorable Mention” for the short script “The Legend of Wine” in FilmMakers 2nd Annual Short Screen play Competition sponsored by FilmMakers.com in spring 2003.

She is currently working on a couple of projects including a documentary exploring the popularity of Soccer in the Iranian-American community in Northern California and also a feature script.

"Amongst the Iranian Youth: an untold story of a generation" Directed by Anoosheh Enssani- 57 min.

In July 2003, An Iranian government agency, conducted research on Iranian youth with an average age of 21. 53 percent of the participants see death as a way out of their lives and more than 77 percent believe there is no future for them. Dr. Elahe Enssani made a trip to Iran to talk to the youth and explore where this hopelessness of New Islamic Republic generation will lead. This documentary is a series of interviews she conducted on the subject.

“A Study in Perseverance” is her recent movie which is shot in San Francisco/Bay Area combining imagination with the true stories of our lives. She is currently working on a few of creative projects including two feature scripts.
