Naser Shahrivar

Naser was born in Tehran, Iran, and as a child has a passion for art and dreamed of becoming an artist. He was a great admirer of Leonardo Da Vinci to his many inventions as well as his artistic skills. Naser wanted to follow in his Master’s footsteps; his parents were against it, thus forcing him to paint in secrecy. As a young adolescent, he used raw materials and dies to mix his paints. At the age of thirteen he began displaying and selling his work. As a youth he won the first place in the local, Tehran competition, then moving on to place in the country competition. As a young man, Naser came to the United States and earned a bachelor’s degree in graphics and fine arts. His previous studies were in architecture and electrical. He began freelance artwork and teaching part time. Opened and operated his gallery for 30 years. A prolific painter and versatile with his style attracted many collectors throughout the country.

Shahrivar’s own and operate his gallery, the Art and Gift Center in Central City. Iowa. There he displays his original art and prints, pottery, jewelry, and other gift items. This gallery is located at 28 North 4th St. P.O. Box 84 Central City, Iowa 52214
