Patricia Shahrivar

Patricia is a native Iowan, who grew up with a fellow Iowa artist as an inspiration. Throughout school she remembers visiting the Museum and admiring the artwork of Grant Wood on exhibit, and was thrilled to be able to exhibit one of her pieces in the same museum. As a child she learned from her grandmother an art teacher who taught her the art of chalk talk and introduced her to the paintbrush. With fond memories of her grandmother and early years of her childhood spending hours engrossed in art projects, Patricia longed for creating. Through out her high school years she took every art class that her schedule would allow. She resumed her love of painting in 1985, after years of dedication as a wife and mother. Since then, she has received numerous awards for her art. Her interest in portraits, floral, and landscapes developed after studying under nationally known artists such as Dan Gerhartz, Loren Entz, Jim Pollard and others. With great passion for pro Raphael art and style Patricia has shown in many of her works including her recent portrait commissions.
