Sid Sarshar
“After a 20 year absence, I recently returned to Iran for the first time. The purpose of my trip was to reacquaint myself with the country in which I was born. For six-months I traveled from one corner of Iran to the other, absorbing the distinct cultures of ancient villages. Very little had changed over the centuries, and it was my goal to capture the participants of Persian culture in a natural state, with the least amount of intrusion. Today I share with you a selection from my 4,000 photographs and short stories, which serve as a testament to the time-honored traditions which are today still observed in Iran.”
