Sogol Pedram

Sogol Pedram’s art address various connections between spirituality and sexuality. Iranian born and raised, educated at Azadegan School and later at prestigious Azad University of Tehran under a number of prominent Iranian painters, she gained deep knowledge and understanding in the techniques and aesthetics of painting. In 1999, she graduated and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. Her first solo exhibition in Tehran was installed in spring 2007 and a year later -August and November 2008- two more solo shows hosted her most recent painting work. Pedram’s art is highly sought after in Iran for processing a daring theme and a subversive message. Sogol currently lives and works in the Bay Area (CA), and keeps experimenting in painting and mixed media.
