Iraj Golzari is one of Iran’s leading ceramics artists. Golzaris spends most of his time near the historical city of Hamedan, whom many believe to be one of the ancient world’s centers of ceramics.

Lalejin (Lalajin and local name: Lalin) is one of the towns near Hamadan. According to the official data, Lalejin has approximately 14,700 inhabitants. This town is known as the center of pottery and ceramics in the Middle-East.

80 percent of Lalejin’s population are potters, ceramists and related jobs. Lalejin is one of the important centers of pottery and ceramic productions in Iran and in the world. The products of Lalejin artists are very various and include the different kinds of luxury consumption earthen wares.

Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam

Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam graduated from University of Paris VIII with a degree in History of Art and Theatre. He specializes in Middle Eastern folklore and mystical dance and has a deep interest in Indian, Indonesian and Flamenco dances.

Shahrokh joined the renowned Theatre du Soleil in 1991, where he played lead roles in Ariane Mnouchkine’s productions of “Tartuffe” “La ville parjure” and “Les Atrides”.

Leilah was born in New York of Iranian parents, although she has been based in Spain for the last seven years. At a young age, she became interested in the dance world studying ballet, jazz and tap in the Professional Children´s program at New York´s distinguished Broadway Dance Center.

Shahrzad Dance Academy (SDA) is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1996 by Shahrzad “Shazzy” Khorsandi.

SDA provides formal training in Persian dance to students ages 4 and up. These students learn Persian dance technique, as well as performance training, and perform in various festivals in addition to annual company recitals.
