Shiva Pakdel
Shiva Pakdel grew up in Abadan, Iran during the 60s. Abadan then, was one of the most liberal cities in Iran, offering a modern western lifestyle within a land filled with history and tradition. This immersion in and exposure to both eastern and western culture and art, provided Shiva with a great appreciation and enjoyment of both Iranian art, culture, history, and poetry, as well as the art and culture of the west.

Shahin Mojtabai was born in Tehran in 1967. His love affair with painting began in Paris by the seine river as he watched the homeless painters at work when he was 7 years old. Shahin’s goal is to be hi country’s pride and to be a solid voice conveying a message of truth through his realist brush.

Brothers Arash and Arsalan Rahbary, formed metal rock band TarantisT in Iran in the year 2000.
Arash and Arsalan both learned to play music when they were only six years old (Arash is three years older than Arsalan). Arash started by playing Santoor (a stringed musical instrument), while Arsalan started by playing guitar, which later raised Arash’s interest to learn to play guitar.

Mahshid Modares is an artist, art historian and art collector. She received her B.F.A. in painting from Azad University, Tehran, in 1995, and her M.A. in art history from San Jose State University, California, in 2006. Mahshid plans to continue her academic career by continuing her research and publications while pursuinga Ph.D. She is concentrating her studies on the history of visual arts in Iran during the 18th-20th centuries.

Writer, photographer and television producer, Iason Athanasiadis has been covering the Middle East, Central Asia and the southeast Mediterranean since 1999. He earned degrees in Arabic and Modern Middle Eastern Studies at Oxford University (BA) as well as Persian and Contemporary Iranian Studies at Tehran’s School of International Studies (MA).

The most important point in MIRAGE TOWN is the genre which it has been chosen for it and it tries to be the former Alternative Metal band in Iran.
